Information & Communication Technology

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is one of the fastest growing sectors globally and the need for common technical standards and rules has seen the European institutions developing an ever wider decision-making remit. Closely linked to the internal market, the telecommunications sector is being liberalised, GSM charges are being harmonised and television broadcasting is crossing borders.

Our services / clients:

Our extensive experience in the area of ICT has earned us the trust of prominent institutions, organisations and companies within the sector such as the European Commission (DG Information Society & Media), Microsoft, the Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE), EUREKA, International Communications Round Table (ICRT) and Electronic Data Systems.

Environment, Energy & Transport

Environmental issues dominate both national and international political debate. The principle of environmental integration is enshrined in the EC Treaty and the Kyoto Protocol of February 2005, when EU Member States pledged to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by 8% between 2008 and 2012. This illustrates what an emotive and key issue the environment is, and how many different policy areas, including transport policy and energy strategy, are intertwined.

Our services / clients:

Working for clients such as the European Commission (DG Environment, DG Transport & Energy), EUREAU, EUREKA or Polish electricity producer PKE has given us significant expertise in these intertwined policies, which also cover strategic issues such as security, safety, research and intermodality.

Humanitarian & Development Aid

Combating world poverty has been the primary objective of EU development policy since 2000, and the Millennium Development Goals aim to halve extreme poverty by 2015. The EU provides approximately half of all public aid to developing countries, making it the world’s biggest aid donor.

We are experienced in counselling clients on how to communicate their values, principles and concrete achievements in terms of humanitarian and development aid in a way that preserves the dignity of the beneficiary populations.

Our services / clients:

Our past and current clients include the European Commission (Humanitarian Aid Office, DG Development, DG Trade, DG External Relations), the European Parliament, the American Refugee Committee International, The Humanitarian Affairs Review, Médecins Sans Frontières, and many more.

Public Affairs & Lobbying

Successful public affairs and lobbying campaigns require sound intelligence, meaningful contacts, policy expertise, the ability to develop the right tools, coalition-building, timing and a commitment to delivering results. To achieve efficient, high impact campaigns a combination of the traditional and the innovative is needed.

Our services / clients:

We have developed an expertise in representing the interests of sovereign states, notably the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government of the Republic of Serbia in their aspiration for closer EU and NATO integration and eventual membership as well as Microsoft, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, Remora, European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries Association (EFPIA) and the International Federation of Phonographic Industries (IFPI).

Employment and Social Affairs

Employment and Social Affairs are intricately linked to the Lisbon Strategy’s goal of producing not just more but also better jobs and to ensure that society is inclusive: promoting equal opportunities and eradicating discrimination, with a particular focus on equality between men and women. The key to the successful implementation of social policies is closer and more targeted cooperation between Member States and the EU.

Our services / clients:

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), Caritas Europa, the European Commission's DG Employment (Social Inclusion and Social Protection, EURES and PROGRESS), the European Platform for Rehabilitation (EPR), URBACT and the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound).

Health & Consumer Issues

EU laws in the field of health and consumer issues range from food safety to consumer rights and the protection of people's health. These issues involve an ever growing number of stakeholders: EU institutions, national, regional or even local governments as well as non-governmental organisations and trade associations. They require sensitive treatment, both because of the need to protect the population and the reality that decisions affect people’s daily lives as well as their long term prospects.

Our services / clients:

In this important sector, we have counselled and campaigned on behalf of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), the European Food Information Council, EUREKA, the European Vaccine Manufacturers, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), etc.

Internal Market and Economic Affairs

With 450 million consumers, Europe is today the world's biggest trading partner. The EU makes a significant contribution to European prosperity by stimulating intra-Community trade, thereby reducing prices and increasing productivity. Furthermore, the introduction of the euro in 2002 has created an impetus to complete the principle of free movement of workers and to foster closer ties among Member States. Although striking progress has been made, obstacles still exist and the internal market will continue to develop.

Our services / clients:

Our work on behalf of the European Commission (DG Enterprise, DG Economic and Monetary Affairs, DG Employment and Social Affairs), Microsoft, Fedex and the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), demonstrates our expertise in this important policy area.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Companies and organisations today recognise the importance of dialogue and transparency with stakeholders regarding the economic, social and environmental impact of their business activities. This commitment to accountability, or corporate social responsibility, is a fundamental part of how business operates in today’s 'greener' and more socially conscious world. Running a good governance structure and upholding the highest standards in business ethics is today standard business practice.

Our services / clients:

In this policy area, we have worked for: The European Commission (DG Employment and Social Affairs), the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound), the European Economic and Social Committee, Microsoft, UNICE.
